Privacy policy

This policy explains what Empire Stone Group ("Empire Stone Group", "we", "us") collects when you use our website, request an estimate, call us or exchange text messages with us, and what we do with it. Our text message program terms are set out in full on our Terms of Service and SMS terms page.

Information we collect

• Information you give us. Your name, mobile or landline phone number, email address, the property address, city or ZIP code, the service you are interested in, and anything you tell us about the project in the message field or in conversation.
• Consent records. When you check a consent box on a form, we record that you checked it, the date and time, the page you were on and the phone number you entered. We keep this as proof of your consent.
• Message content. The text messages and emails you exchange with us, so we have a record of what was agreed about your project.
• Website analytics. Pages visited, referring site, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from a truncated IP address, through Google Analytics. We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.

We do not collect Social Security numbers, payment card numbers or financial account information through this website.

How we use your information

• To respond to your estimate request by phone, text or email.
• To schedule and confirm the on-site measurement visit.
• To send you the written quote and answer questions about it.
• To send appointment reminders, crew arrival notices and project status updates by text, if you have opted in to text messages.
• To keep a record of the work we performed, including for warranty claims.
• To understand how the website is used so we can improve it.

Text messaging and your mobile number

We use your mobile number to contact you about the estimate or project you asked us about. You give consent to text messages by checking the optional SMS consent box on one of our forms, by texting our number first, or by telling a member of our team on a recorded call or in writing that you want updates by text. Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of getting an estimate, buying anything or hiring us.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as our customer relationship management platform and our messaging provider, is permitted solely to deliver the service you asked for. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent, trade or otherwise disclose it to anyone for their own advertising. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Who we share information with

Access is limited to Empire Stone Group staff who need it to do the work, and to the service providers that operate our systems:

• Our customer relationship management platform, which stores contact records and sends messages on our behalf.
• Our SMS provider, which transmits text messages to your carrier.
• Google Analytics, for website usage statistics.
• The company that hosts this website.

Each provider is contractually bound to use the information only to deliver its service to us. We may also disclose information if required by law, court order or subpoena, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

How long we keep it

Estimate requests that do not become projects are kept for two years. Project records, contracts and related messages are kept for seven years, which covers the warranty period and North Carolina record-keeping norms. SMS consent and opt-out records are kept for as long as we operate the messaging program, plus four years, because carriers and regulators can ask us to produce them.

Your choices and your rights

• Stop texts: reply STOP to any message from us. You will get one confirmation message and nothing after that.
• Stop emails: reply asking us to stop, or use the unsubscribe link.
• Access, correction, deletion: email [email protected] and tell us what you want. We will confirm your identity and respond within 30 days. We may keep information we are required to keep for a contract, a warranty or a legal obligation.
• Cookies: you can block cookies in your browser. The estimate form still works.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS. Contact records are held in access-controlled accounts with our providers. No system is perfect, but we do not keep customer data on personal devices or in shared inboxes outside those systems.

Children

This site is for adults arranging construction work. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the effective date at the top changes with it. Material changes affecting the text message program will be sent by text to everyone currently opted in.
