These terms govern your use of this website and your participation in the Empire Stone Group text message program. By using this site or opting in to text messages, you agree to them. Our handling of your information is described in our privacy policy.

SMS terms and conditions

Program name and purpose

Empire Stone Group Customer Care and Appointment Alerts. The program sends conversational and transactional messages to homeowners, builders and general contractors who have asked us for an estimate or who have hired us for concrete, paver, retaining wall or stone masonry work in North Carolina. The program is operated by Empire Stone Group.

How you opt in

You can join the program in any of these ways:

• Check the optional box labeled "Text me updates about my estimate" on the estimate form on this website, after entering your mobile number.
• Send a text message to (980) 351-1101. Texting us first is itself your opt-in.
• Tell a member of our team, verbally on a call or in writing, that you want updates by text. We record the date, time and number.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase, estimate or service. You can get a quote and hire us entirely by phone or email. We do not buy, rent or import phone number lists, and we never message a number that did not opt in through one of the routes above.

What we send

• Confirmation that we received your estimate request.
• Scheduling and confirmation of the on-site measurement visit.
• Reminders before an appointment and notice when a crew is on the way.
• Delivery of your written quote and follow-up questions about it.
• Project status updates while work is in progress, such as pour dates and weather delays.
• Replies to questions you text us.

• "Empire Stone Group: Thanks for the request, Dana. Can we come measure your patio Thu 9/11 between 9-11am? Reply Y to confirm. Reply STOP to opt out."
• "Empire Stone Group: Reminder - we're measuring at 412 Oak Ridge Dr tomorrow, Thu 9/11, 9-11am. Reply STOP to opt out."
• "Empire Stone Group: Your quote for the 480 sq ft paver patio is in your email. Questions? Reply here or call (980) 351-1101. Reply STOP to opt out."
• "Empire Stone Group: Rain moved your pour to Mon 9/15. Crew arrives 7:30am. Reply STOP to opt out."

Message frequency

Message frequency varies and depends on your project. A typical estimate involves 3 to 6 messages. An active project may add 2 to 8 more messages over the course of the work. We do not send recurring marketing blasts.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Empire Stone Group does not charge for the messages, but your mobile carrier may charge you for messages sent or received, according to your plan. Check with your carrier if you are unsure.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any message from us at any time. You will receive one final confirmation message and no further messages. You can also call (980) 351-1101 or email [email protected] and ask to be removed. Opting out of text messages does not cancel your estimate or your project; we will simply reach you by phone or email instead.

Carriers and delivery

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your wireless carrier and is not guaranteed. The program is supported on major US carriers.

Privacy and your mobile number

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as our customer relationship management platform and our messaging provider, is permitted solely to deliver the service you asked for. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Website terms

Eligibility

You must be 18 or older and legally able to enter a contract to request an estimate or to opt in to text messages.

Estimates and pricing

Prices, ranges and calculators shown on this site are planning estimates for North Carolina work, not offers. A binding price comes only from a written quote issued after we measure the site. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Site conditions found after excavation, such as buried debris, rock, poor soils or undocumented utilities, may change the price, and we will tell you in writing before proceeding.

Scheduling and weather

Concrete and masonry work depends on weather and cure conditions. Dates on a quote or schedule are targets, not guarantees, and we will move a pour rather than place concrete in conditions that would compromise it.

Workmanship warranty

Warranty terms are stated on your signed contract and take precedence over anything on this website. Warranties do not cover normal concrete curing cracks within industry tolerance, movement caused by soil conditions outside our scope, damage from vehicles heavier than the design load, de-icing salts applied within the first winter, or work altered by others.

Content and photography

Text, photographs, renderings and video on this site belong to Empire Stone Group and may not be reproduced without permission. Images labeled "Design concept" are renderings of what we build, not photographs of completed jobs.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by North Carolina law, Empire Stone Group is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of this website or from information published on it. Nothing here limits liability for the work itself, which is governed by your signed contract.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes are resolved in the state or federal courts serving Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.

Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top changes when we do. Material changes to the SMS program terms are sent by text to everyone currently opted in.
